YOU can prevent Barlow's closing. Support Barlow's plan to:
Rebuild the hospital to better serve the region.
Provide much-needed housing close to downtown L.A.
Preserve the history and integrity of this special healthcare community.
Create and retain more than 4,800 jobs.
Barlow Respiratory Hospital is critical to the Los Angeles healthcare system and community at large. More than 70 hospitals actively refer their most critically ill patients to this one-of-a-kind long-term acute care (LTAC) health facility allowing scarce beds to be made available to other patients in the area and offering respiratory patients a higher likelihood of recovery.
The L.A. City Council will vote soon on whether to allow Barlow Respiratory Hospital to move forward with the Barlow Hospital Replacement and Master Plan Project (see Project Highlights). If the project is not approved, Barlow will be forced to close.
Show your support for Barlow by entering your street address and pressing "Continue" to submit a pre-written letter asking your city councilmember to support this important project that will create jobs and save lives in our community.
